Data Analyst

We're looking for a data-driven thinker who can help us go beyond top-level metrics and uncover actionable insights from our raw event data. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on finding patterns, asking the right questions, and turning numbers into clarity and direction. Responsibilities: Build dashboards that help us understand user behavior, product performance, and funnel health Dive deep into raw event data to spot drop-offs, usage patterns, and opportunities Collaborate closely with product and design to form hypotheses and validate them with data Work with the tech team to ensure event tracking is clean, structured, and scalable Identify high-performing cohorts and help design A/B experiments to drive growth Present clear, actionable insights to founders and help guide product decisions What We're Looking For: 1+ years of experience in analytics or product data analysis (early-stage startup experience is a plus) Strong proficiency in SQL and familiarity with tools like Metabase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar Comfortable with event-based analytics and product instrumentation Ability to think from first principles and communicate insights clearly Bonus: experience with scripting languages (Python or R) for deeper analysis or automations Why Join Matiks: Be part of an early team building something unique at the intersection of tech, gaming, and mental performance Huge ownership - this is a foundational role with influence across product and strategy Work closely with passionate, fast-moving founders, designers, and engineers Competitive compensation and flexibility
