About the Role We are hiring a Mathematics Tutor to deliver personalised 1-on-1 sessions for Grade 9–10 students following the British (GCSE / Key Stage 4) or American (Common Core / State Standards) curriculum. This is a content-driven role — you will assess each student's needs and build custom material from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Conduct personalised 1-on-1 tutoring sessions for Grade 9–10 Mathematics
- Assess each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning style
- Create customised notes, worksheets, and practice problems tailored to individual needs
- Cover key topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and probability as per the relevant curriculum
- Provide structured exam and test preparation with practice papers and review sessions
- Track student progress and adjust teaching approach accordingly
Requirements
- Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Prior experience tutoring GCSE, Common Core, or equivalent curricula
- Strong understanding of either the British or American math curriculum (or both)
- Ability to create original, student-specific learning content
- Strong communication skills and a patient, adaptive teaching style
Nice to Have
- Experience teaching both British and American curricula
- Familiarity with exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, OCR, or AP frameworks
- Experience with online teaching tools and platforms
