Role Description The Mathematics Teacher will deliver engaging, concept-focused math instruction to school and competitive exam aspirants in a full-time, on-site role based in Kanpur. Responsibilities include planning and teaching lessons aligned with Scholars Foundation’s curriculum, preparing students for Olympiads and competitive exams, and providing individualized support to ensure deep understanding and steady progress. The teacher will design assignments and tests, evaluate student performance, and maintain accurate academic records. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues to refine teaching strategies, communicating regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, and contributing to a learning environment that encourages discipline, curiosity, and resilience.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to teach foundational and advanced concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development tailored to Olympiads and competitive exams.
- Qualified Teacher status, with a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field.
- Ability to manage small groups effectively, provide individualized attention, and use assessment data to guide instruction.
- Excellent classroom communication skills, including clear explanation of abstract ideas and constructive feedback to students.
- Familiarity with exam patterns such as IOQM, RMO, AMC, AIME, SAT, AP, and JEE (or willingness to learn these frameworks).
- Commitment to fostering critical thinking, academic integrity, and a growth mindset in learners.
- Prior teaching experience in a school, coaching institute, or competitive exam training center is highly beneficial.
