Teach Mathematics and/or Physics as per CBSE/NCERT curriculum
- Handle classes:
- TGT level: Classes VI–X
- Explain concepts with clarity, real-life applications, and problem-solving approach
- Ensure strong conceptual understanding in:
- Mathematics: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics
- Physics: Mechanics, Electricity, Magnetism, Optics, Modern Physics
Academic Planning & Delivery
- Prepare lesson plans, yearly/term plans
- Develop:
- Worksheets
- Assignments
- Question papers (as per CBSE pattern)
- Use activity-based learning, ICT tools, smart classes, simulations
Laboratory & Practical Work (Physics)
- Conduct physics experiments and demonstrations
- Maintain lab safety and equipment handling
- Guide students in:
- Practical files
- Investigations
- Project work
Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct: Unit tests, Periodic tests, Pre-board exams
- Evaluate answer sheets and provide feedback
- Identify learning gaps and remedial teaching
Student Development Role
- Improve problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Prepare students for:
- CBSE Board Exams
- Competitive exams (JEE/NEET foundation level if applicable)
- Provide academic mentoring and career guidance
Administrative & School Duties
- Maintain academic records (attendance, marks, progress reports)
- Participate in:
- Staff meetings
- Parent-teacher meetings (PTMs)
- School events, Olympiads, science exhibitions
- Follow CBSE guidelines and NEP 2020 framework
Pre-requisites / Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- TGT (VI–X):B.Sc. (Maths/Physics), B.Ed.
- OR MSc with BEd
2. Experience
- TGT: Usually 2–5 years teaching experience preferred
- PGT: 3–10+ years experience preferred
- Experience in CBSE/ICSE curriculum strongly preferred
3. Key Skills Required
- Strong subject knowledge (concept clarity + numerical/problem solving)
- Excellent communication skills (English preferred in many schools)
- Classroom management skills
- Ability to simplify complex concepts
- Use of smart boards / digital tools
- Student engagement and motivational ability
4. Technical & Teaching Skills (Preferred)
- ICT integration in teaching (PowerPoint, simulations, digital labs)
- Familiarity with CBSE question paper pattern
- Knowledge of NEP 2020 competencies
- Use of inquiry-based and experiential learning methods
