QBS Learning is looking for an experienced and passionate Math Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in Pre-Calculus and Calculus for Grades 9–12 under the US Curriculum (Common Core or similar standards). This is a contractual/project-based opportunity for professionals who have strong expertise in mathematics content development, curriculum writing, and instructional material creation for school education.
The SME will work closely with academic and content teams to develop high-quality, standards-aligned educational content for school books and digital learning materials.
Role Overview
QBS Learning is looking for an experienced and passionate Math Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in Pre-Calculus and Calculus for Grades 9–12 under the US Curriculum (Common Core or similar standards). This is a contractual/project-based opportunity for professionals who have strong expertise in mathematics content development, curriculum writing, and instructional material creation for school education.
The SME will work closely with academic and content teams to develop high-quality, standards-aligned educational content for school books and digital learning materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate, engaging, and curriculum-aligned content for Pre-Calculus and Calculus (Grades 9–12).
- Create and review instructional materials, assessments, practice questions, and lesson-based content aligned with US Common Core Standards or equivalent frameworks.
- Design curriculum structures, learning objectives, lesson plans, and teacher/student resources.
- Ensure mathematical accuracy, conceptual clarity, and pedagogical effectiveness across all deliverables.
- Collaborate with content developers, editors, instructional designers, and project stakeholders.
- Review and edit existing educational content to improve quality and alignment with standards.
- Support textbook and digital content development projects with subject expertise and academic guidance.
- Maintain consistency in tone, formatting, and instructional approach across projects.
Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Mathematics, particularly Pre-Calculus and Calculus for Grades 9–12.
- Proven experience working on the US Curriculum (Common Core or equivalent).
- Experience in content writing, curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design for school education.
- Prior experience with educational publishing, textbook development, e-learning, or curriculum projects is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear, learner-friendly manner.
- Strong attention to detail and academic accuracy.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Additional teaching or curriculum certifications will be an added advantage.
