Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Math Mentor. The Math Mentor will be responsible for guiding and mentoring students in mathematics, delivering online lessons, and supporting learners in solving mathematical problems. Daily tasks will also include assessing student progress, providing personalized feedback, and preparing lesson plans to align with the student’s abilities and goals. The role emphasizes fostering enthusiasm for mathematics and developing logical problem-solving skills among students.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and expertise in Mathematics, including advanced concepts, and problem-solving techniques
- Experience in creating lesson plans, delivering engaging virtual lessons, and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication skills for explaining mathematical concepts clearly and effectively
- Patience, empathy, and passion for mentoring students of various ages and skill levels
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is highly recommended
