Role Overview
The Math Curriculum Designer will be responsible for designing a structured, mastery-based mathematics program that is suitable for students across multiple educational boards including CBSE, ICSE, IB, Cambridge, American, Australian, Singapore and other international curricula.
The curriculum should emphasize conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, real-world applications and student engagement rather than rote learning.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development
- Design a comprehensive mathematics curriculum for students aged 7–14 years.
- Develop level-based learning pathways that cater to students from different academic backgrounds.
- Create clear learning objectives, outcomes, and progression frameworks.
- Ensure alignment with international educational standards and best practices.
- Integrate problem-solving, logical reasoning, mental math, and critical thinking throughout the curriculum.
Lesson Planning
- Create detailed lesson plans for each module and session.
- Develop teacher guides, instructional strategies, and classroom activities.
- Design engaging learning experiences using games, puzzles, projects, and real-world applications.
- Create differentiated learning activities for varying student abilities.
Assessment Design
- Develop formative and summative assessments.
- Design quizzes, worksheets, assignments, projects, and challenge activities.
- Create student progress tracking frameworks and mastery rubrics.
- Develop parent feedback and reporting templates.
Content Creation
- Create student worksheets and practice materials.
- Design enrichment activities and advanced challenge problems.
- Develop Olympiad-style and higher-order thinking questions.
- Create project-based learning activities.
Quality Assurance
- Review and refine curriculum content based on feedback.
- Ensure age appropriateness, accuracy, and engagement.
- Maintain consistency across all levels and modules.
Collaboration
- Work closely with academic coordinators and teachers.
- Conduct curriculum training sessions for educators.
- Support pilot testing and curriculum improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Education, Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience in curriculum development or mathematics education.
* Strong understanding of international and Indian school curricula.
* Excellent instructional design and lesson planning skills.
* Strong written English communication skills.
