About The Role
What if your deep expertise in materials science could directly shape how AI reasons through the most complex problems in semiconductor research and molecular modeling? We're looking for Materials Science experts — Masters and PhD level — to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models, ensuring they can think, reason, and solve problems the way a world-class scientist would.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience needed — just rigorous scientific expertise and a sharp eye for accuracy and depth.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced materials science problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related disciplines to design complex, challenging problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning for accuracy, rigor, depth, and clarity
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to enhance model performance
- Ensure scientific integrity and precision across all deliverables
- Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Materials Science or a closely related field from a top university
- Strong expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent research areas
- Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB — whether for research, simulation, or data analysis
- Exceptionally clear written communicator who can convey complex ideas with precision
- Detail-oriented and methodical — you hold your work to a high scientific standard
- Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
- Background in AI, computational modeling, or materials informatics
- Experience writing scientific documentation, peer-reviewed papers, or technical reports
- Familiarity with AI tools or research evaluation workflows
