Material Science Expert (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your deep knowledge of semiconductor materials or molecular modeling could directly shape how AI reasons through the hardest problems in materials science? We're looking for Materials Science experts — Masters and PhD holders — to work alongside leading AI research teams, helping build AI models that can think and solve problems at an expert level.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience needed — just rigorous scientific expertise and a passion for applying it to something genuinely new.

- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related areas to design complex, high-quality problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning and outputs for accuracy, depth, and rigor
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve model reasoning
- Ensure scientific clarity and precision across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Materials Science or a closely related field
- Strong domain expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or equivalent specializations
- Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or technical problem-solving
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to scientific detail
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
- Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or data quality workflows
