This position is responsible for organizing, planning, overseeing and supervising the property appraisal functions.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent, and specialized training in the field of work including college courses, certificate program, apprenticeship, etc.
Seven years of progressively responsible experience in the occupational field, sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, including three (3) years of supervisory experience. Relevant professional experience includes: Hands-on knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building systems. Property management or development: Familiarity with property value influences. Real estate sales or brokerage: Knowledge of market values, comparable sales, and local trends.
Possession of Alaska Certified Assessor/Appraiser Level 2 designation or equivalent as recognized by the Alaska Association of Assessing Officers must be obtained within one year of hire.
Possession of or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire, a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Alaska for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Please note: Employees assigned driving duties/responsibilities, must be at least 19 years of age with one (1) year of driving experience.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
Completion of Incident Command System (ICS) courses, ICS 100 and IS 700, within ninety (90) days of hire.
