Job Description
Job Title:Manager / Senior Manager – Master Data Governance
Function: Data Governance & Business Enablement
Location: Mumbai (WFO)
Role Summary
Own the integrity, consistency, and governance of core business master data across systems (CRM, dealer & service platforms, ERP).
Act as the single owner of “one version of truth,” ensuring reliable operations, reporting, and decision-making.

* Pricing & schemes

* Vendors / suppliers
Key Responsibilities
1. Master Data Governance
Define master vs transactional data, data ownership, standards, definitions, and governance policies
2. Data Quality Management
* Track accuracy, completeness, duplication
* Audit and cleanse data
* Enforce validations at source
3. Lifecycle Ownership
* Own workflows for creation, modification, deactivation
* Ensure approvals and auditability
* Maintain golden records
4. Cross-System Consistency
* Ensure alignment across CRM (Salesforce), service apps, dealer systems, ERP, and downstream BI (Zoho)
5. Reporting & Enablement
* Build/track business-critical metrics
* Support pricing, allocation, CRM campaigns through accurate data
6. MDM Evolution
* Build data dictionaries and governance using Excel + CRM initially
* Scale up to enterprise MDM tools

* 70–80% duplicate reduction
* Standard creation/change workflows

Skills & Tools
Must-Have Skills
* Master Data Governance & Data Quality
* Strong business process understanding (Sales, Service, Finance)
* Root cause analysis, high attention to detail
* Stakeholder management & governance enforcement
Tools / Systems
* CRM (preferably Salesforce)
* ERP / Finance systems
* Advanced Excel (audits, reconciliation, validations)
Good-to-Have
* MDM tools (Informatica, SAP MDG)
* Basic SQL / data querying
* Data modeling & hierarchy design
* Exposure to APIs & integrations
Experience Profile
* 5–10 years in Data Governance, MDM, Analytics, or Ops Data hybrid roles
* FMCG / Retail / Marketplace / Services exposure preferred
* Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
