Service Intern – Summer 2025
Hands-On Experience | Electrical Wiring | Real-World Manufacturing
Kickstart your career in automation with Massman Companies! As a Service Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience building and wiring electrical panels, assembling high-performance packaging equipment, and working alongside experienced technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Job Duties:
1. Learn to build and wire an Electrical Panel with supervision.
2. Performs electrical wiring and device assemblies; wires and connects all electrical components with the control panel.
3. Using hand and pneumatic power tools, shop and assembly equipment.
4. Performs daily 6s cleanup and follows all safety practices.
5. Assists in other areas and performs additional tasks as needed.
6. Understanding and basic implementation of machine pneumatics.
7. Learn to read and understand Electrical schematics.
8. Learn a basic understanding of Massman machine terminology and functionality.
9. Uses common hand tools, tape measure, shop and assembly equipment.
10. Works from diagrams, blue prints, specs, schematics to correctly assemble components.
11. Recognizes when components may be out of spec and assist with inspection to determine the problem.
12. Performs product loading tasks.
13. Follows detailed directions and established procedures.
14. Demonstrates basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.
15. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance duties.
Requirements
Education & Training:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Pursuing a technical degree in Electrical or Mechatronics preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Basic knowledge with hand tools.
Working conditions:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
