Media & Communication Lead
We are seeking an experienced Media & Communication Lead to drive end-to-end media strategy, execution, and stakeholder coordination for statewide communication initiatives. The role requires delivering consistent, high-impact media visibility across print, television, digital, and YouTube platforms, while ensuring alignment with government communication protocols.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute an integrated media strategy aligned with project objectives
- Define communication priorities, campaign themes, and outreach plans
- Ensure all communication aligns with government guidelines and messaging frameworks
2. Media Relations and Outreach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with editors, journalists, bureau chiefs, TV producers, anchors, and digital media publishers
- Drive consistent media engagement to secure organic coverage across platforms
- Identify and leverage relevant media opportunities for maximum visibility
3. Campaign Planning and Execution
- Lead the planning and execution of press briefings, media interactions, and site visits
- Manage end-to-end rollout of media campaigns across channels
- Ensure timely and effective execution of all media activities
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as the central point of contact between government departments (MSME, RAMP teams) and internal teams
- Coordinate with content, design, and production teams for seamless execution
- Manage approvals, timelines, and stakeholder expectations
5. Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and analyze media coverage across print, TV, digital, and social platforms
- Evaluate campaign performance based on reach, visibility, and sentiment
- Provide actionable insights to optimize ongoing and future strategies
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong network across print, television, and digital media
- Proven ability to design and execute large-scale media campaigns
- Experience in government or public sector communications
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
- Crisis communication and issue management expertise
- Strategic thinking with a data-driven approach
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in media, public relations, or communications
- Prior experience working on government or large-scale projects
- Background in journalism, mass communication, or public relations
