About the role

Implement and maintain security controls: automotive systems, including ecus (electronic control units), communication networks, and connected components. Risk assessment and mitigation: identify potential risks related to automotive cybersecurity. develop strategies to mitigate risks, considering safety, privacy, and compliance requirement. Incident response and recovery: prepare incident response plans and procedure. coordinate responses to security incidents, including analyzing and containing breaches. Stay current with industry trends: keep abreast of evolving cybersecurity threats, standards, and regulations specific to the automotive industry. Familiarity with secure coding practices, secure software design, and secure development methodologies Knowledge of automotive-specific security standards ( e.g., ISO/SAE 21434) and EURO REGULATIONS R155, R156 etc., Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure communication channel Ability to identify potential threats, assess risks, and prioritize security measure Understanding of secure OTA update mechanisms for automotive ecu Clear communication to convey security concepts, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and management.
