Job Title: CATIA V5 Design Engineer – Plastics & Casting

Experience: 3 to 8 Years

Key Responsibilities

Design and development of plastic and casting components using CATIA V5

Create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings with GD&T standards

Work on product development from concept to production stage

Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability

Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality requirements

Conduct design reviews and provide technical support for tooling and manufacturing

Required Skills

Strong expertise in CATIA V5 (Part Design, Assembly, Drafting, Surface Modeling)

Hands-on experience in designing plastic parts (injection molding) and cast components (sand, die, gravity casting etc.)

Good understanding of DFM/DFA principles

Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes relevant to plastics and castings

Familiar with tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Skills

Experience in the automotive or consumer product domain

Exposure to PLM tools (like Enovia/Teamcenter) and change management processes

Education Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automotive / Production Engineering or equivalent
