Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Marriage Counselor / Couples Counselor based in India who has prior experience providing counseling services to individuals and couples living in the United States.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of relationship and marital issues, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds in the US.
The counselor will conduct confidential virtual counseling sessions and help clients address relationship challenges, communication difficulties, conflicts, emotional concerns, and other marriage-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct online marriage and couples counseling sessions for US-based clients.
- Understand clients' relationship concerns and develop appropriate counseling approaches.
- Help couples improve communication, conflict resolution, emotional connection, and relationship management.
- Conduct individual counseling sessions when required as part of relationship counseling.
- Maintain professional boundaries and strict client confidentiality.
- Maintain appropriate counseling notes and documentation.
- Handle clients from different cultural, religious, professional, and family backgrounds with sensitivity.
- Coordinate appointments according to client availability.
- Be available for sessions during hours that reasonably overlap with US time zones, including evenings/night hours in India when required.
- Refer clients to appropriate mental-health or emergency professionals when issues fall outside the counselor's professional scope.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or relevant professional qualification in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Relevant professional counseling training/certification.
- Prior experience counseling US-based individuals or couples is strongly required/preferred.
- Experience specifically in marriage, relationship, or couples counseling.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Comfortable conducting counseling sessions through Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms.
- Good understanding of confidentiality and professional counseling ethics.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients from the United States.

Candidate Requirements
The candidate must currently be residing in India and should be comfortable working remotely with clients located across different US time zones.
We are particularly interested in professionals who understand both Indian cultural/family dynamics and the US social and cultural environment, enabling them to effectively counsel Indian-origin, multicultural, and other US-based couples.
