The Data Scientist will work within the Office of Institutional Research and Analysis, guiding stakeholders in identifying insights related to admissions, financial aid, and student success, while contributing to the university's strategic enrollment goals. Responsibilities: Develop, deploy, monitor, and assess predictive models to support admissions, financial aid, and student success functions Assess competitive landscape of admitted student pool Analyze student deposit behavior Develop and maintain visualizations of admissions, financial aid, and student success data Serve as a key member of the Enrollment Tactical Committee, providing data-informed recommendations to enrollment leadership to support the institution's enrollment goals Proactively identify insights and assist stakeholders in the interpretation and use of statistical models, data analysis, and reports Manage relevant admissions, financial aid, and student success data in warehouse environment Support the development and maintenance of MLOps environment Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and to clearly communicate results Remain current on the latest trends and developments in data science and technology Qualification: Bachelor's degree in business, data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, social or behavior science or another related field A minimum of 2 years of related experience. Proficiency in programming languages/statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SQL) Experience with advanced statistical techniques such as multivariate analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, or optimization in a professional setting Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in articulating complex data and insights to stakeholders Demonstrated strong attention to detail involving data, systems, and documentation. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
