About Us
Hiver is a modern, AI-driven customer service platform used by companies across healthcare, finance, logistics, education, and technology. We help teams deliver fast, human support across email, chat, phone, WhatsApp, and more — without the complexity of legacy helpdesks.
We’re a
challenger brand in a category dominated by over-engineered tools. We build software that is simple, powerful, and genuinely helpful; and we operate internally with that same philosophy. If you want meaningful ownership, thoughtful teammates, and work that ships, Hiver is a great place to do it
Opportunity
We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Technology Lead to own and operate everything that powers our website and digital marketing infrastructure. This is a solo-contributor role where you will be the go-to expert for all things web — from day-to-day WordPress management to technical performance, security, and developer tooling. If you thrive in a role where you have full ownership and love making marketers' lives easier by handling the technical heavy lifting, this role is for you.
What will you be working on?
WordPress management
- Serve as the primary owner and administrator of our WordPress website
- Build, maintain, and optimize pages, templates, and custom components
- Manage plugins (the add-ons that extend website features), ensuring they are up to date, compatible, and not slowing the site down
- Implement landing pages and campaign assets in close collaboration with the marketing team
Website performance
- Monitor and improve website speed so pages load fast — directly impacting user experience and search engine rankings (SEO)
- Diagnose and fix technical issues that cause slowdowns, such as unoptimized images, bloated code, or server bottlenecks
- Set up and maintain tools that track website health and alert the team to any problems
- Ensure the site performs well on both desktop and mobile devices
Background infrastructure
- Manage web hosting — the service that keeps our website live on the internet — including server configuration and resource scaling
- Own website security: SSL certificates (the padlock in the browser), malware protection, and access permissions
- Set up and manage automated backups so we can restore the site quickly if anything goes wrong
- Handle domain management, DNS settings, and email authentication records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) that keep our emails out of spam
- Manage staging environments — a private copy of the site where changes can be tested before going live, so we never break the real site
Developer processes & tooling
- Build efficient workflows for how changes get made, reviewed, and published to the live website
- Implement version control (a system that tracks every change made to the site's code, making it easy to undo mistakes)
- Automate repetitive technical tasks — such as deployments, backups, and performance checks — so the team can move faster
- Document all technical processes clearly so the marketing team understands what's happening and why
- Evaluate and recommend new tools or integrations that could improve the team's efficiency
What We Are Looking For?
Must-have Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience, including custom theme and plugin work
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — the core building blocks of any website
- Experience managing web hosting environments (e.g. WP Engine, Kinsta, AWS, or similar)
- Familiarity with website performance tools such as Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, or Cloudflare
- Knowledge of website security best practices and experience managing SSL, firewalls, and malware scanning
- Comfort with version control systems such as Git
- Ability to set up and manage staging and production environments
- Experience with DNS management and email deliverability configuration
Good to have
- Experience with PHP (the programming language WordPress runs on)
- Familiarity with marketing tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, or tag management systems (e.g. Google Tag Manager)
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines — automated systems that test and deploy code changes
- Basic knowledge of SEO technical requirements (site structure, schema markup, Core Web Vitals)
- Experience working within a marketing team and translating business needs into technical solutions
What success looks like?
In this role, success means the marketing team never has to worry about the website — it is fast, secure, and always available. You will be seen as a trusted partner who translates technical complexity into clear, confident action. The marketing team should be able to focus entirely on strategy and creativity, knowing the technical foundation is in expert hands.
