Role Description
Full-time | First Marketing Hire
Most companies hire marketers to push content. We’re building something different. We need someone who doesn’t just want to do marketing — they want to own a category.
Great marketing doesn’t start with tactics. It starts with belief. At BLUE, we believe the best work happens when technology gets out of the way and let people do what they’re actually great at. We need a marketer who believes in that mission enough to shout it from the rooftop.
This is our first marketing hire. That means you won’t inherit a playbook — you’ll write it. Every campaign, every system, every story we tell the world starts with you.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
In your first 6 months, you’ll be responsible for three things that actually matter:
- Scale BLUE’s brand — the foundation is solid, people know us. Your job is to make us the name everyone in the room already knows.
- Launch the demand engine — build the systems, channels, and content that bring in qualified leads consistently. Own the full funnel.
- Power it with AI — design marketing workflows that let one person punch like a team of ten. Automation is the expectation, not the bonus.
This is not a ‘we’ll tell you what to do’ role. We’ll tell you where we’re going. You’ll figure out how to get there.
THE AI ANGLE — THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL
We don’t want someone who manually designs every post and writes every email from scratch. We want someone who uses AI to multiply their output — and builds the system so every marketer who joins after you starts from a higher baseline.
If you’re not already experimenting with AI in your day-to-day marketing work, this role is not for you. If you are — you’ll thrive here.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- You don’t need 10 years. You need the right mindset and a genuine command of the craft.
- Think in systems — SEO, growth loops, content engines. Not one-off campaigns.
- Write like a human — clear, on-brand, scroll-stopping copy. No corporate fluff.
- Design sensibility — you know what looks premium and what doesn’t.
- Performance marketing — you’ve run paid campaigns and measured what worked.
- Product marketing instincts — positioning, messaging, and why someone picks us over the competition.
- AI-native — Claude, Midjourney, Zapier, Lovable. Already in your daily toolkit.
Experience: 1–3 years. Or zero, if you’re genuinely exceptional. We care more about how you think than how long you’ve been doing it.

Comfortable in ambiguity — you can start without a perfect brief.
High ownership — ‘that’s not my job’ doesn’t exist in your vocabulary.
Honest and direct — you share what you think, even when it’s not what people want to hear.
Fast — you know the difference between ‘good enough to learn from’ and ‘needs more polish.’
