Company Description
Glymp is India's hyperlocal discovery platform — helping people find the best local stores, products, services, and experiences in their own neighbourhoods. We bridge the gap between the 60M+ offline businesses in India (fewer than 3% of them discoverable online) and a generation of shoppers who decide what to buy on their screens. Consumers discover nearby stores, browse trending products and authentic community content, check what's in stock before they step out, and earn Glymp Coins for engaging. Local businesses get tailored tools — store profiles, product showcases, posts, and short videos built specifically for neighbourhood commerce. Powered by community content, smart recommendations, and a hyperlocal rewards system, Glymp is building the discovery layer for offline commerce — currently live in Mumbai and expanding one neighbourhood at a time. Recognised by Startup India.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-ground Marketing Operations Intern role based in Borivali, Mumbai — the neighbourhood where we're building Glymp's playbook from zero. This is not a desk job. You'll be out in the lanes and markets of Borivali most days: onboarding local businesses onto Glymp, helping them set up their store profiles, product catalogues, and first posts, and getting them comfortable with the Glymp Business app. On the demand side, you'll plan and run micro-campaigns and local activations — campus tie-ins, market-day pushes, QR standees — to bring in the first wave of users. You'll also be our eyes and ears on the ground: conducting market research on neighbourhood businesses and consumer behaviour, compiling insights, gathering feedback, and feeding it back to shape our hyperlocal growth strategy. You'll work directly with the founding team and co-founders — no layers, real ownership of your own patch, and a front-row seat to how a startup takes a product to market and grows it neighbourhood by neighbourhood.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and people skills — you're comfortable walking into a store cold and building instant rapport with local business owners.
- Fluent in Hindi/Gujarati/Marathi/English, and confident engaging shopkeepers and customers face-to-face.
- Based in or near Borivali (or happy to be there daily) — this is a field role with real legwork across the area.
- Self-driven, reliable, and organised — able to own your targets and work independently in a fast-moving startup, without constant supervision.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, basic analytics, and picking up new digital tools quickly.
- An interest in hyperlocal commerce, community-driven platforms, and the Indian retail ecosystem — bonus if you already know Borivali's best local spots.
- Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (attitude and hustle matter more than the exact degree).
