Job details:
1. COMPANY SNAPSHOT
Orbit AI is an AI-powered college admissions platform built for students applying to US universities.
The product is live, the users are real, and our early traction has come entirely from organic demand.
We are backed by early-stage investors in the US AI and EdTech space and are now actively growing our team.
Small company. Focused team. Meaningful work.
2. ROLE SUMMARY
This is a marketing operations role focused on execution. You will work directly with the marketing lead to keep every moving part of the marketing function on track.
Your job is to make sure things get done: content gets published, campaigns go out, landing pages go live, and creators deliver on time.
You do not need to be a strategist. You need to be organised, reliable, and genuinely interested in marketing.
3. WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Content and Blog Operations
- Coordinate with blog writers, share briefs, and follow up on submissions to keep the content calendar on track.
- Do a basic review of submitted content to ensure it matches the brief before it reaches the marketing lead.
- Manage the content pipeline in Notion or Google Sheets and keep statuses updated.
Landing Page Coordination
- Work with the marketing lead to understand what each landing page needs to do, then communicate that clearly to the engineering team.
- Follow up on development progress and check that the live page matches what was asked for.
Campaign Execution and Outreach
- Set up and manage outreach campaigns on Apollo, including uploading lists, configuring sequences, and scheduling sends.
- Keep contact lists clean and organised. Remove duplicates, fix basic data issues, and flag anything that looks off.
- Track campaign performance at a basic level: open rates, reply rates, and delivery status.
Influencer and Ambassador Coordination
- Stay in regular contact with influencers and student brand ambassadors across US colleges.
- Track who is delivering what and by when. Maintain a shared tracker and flag delays early.
- Make sure all creative assets are received, reviewed, and ready on time.
CRM and List Hygiene
- Maintain organised contact data across Apollo and HubSpot.
- Keep segmentation and tagging consistent so campaigns reach the right people.
Social Media and Day-to-Day Support
- Draft captions and short social copy for review and approval before posting.
- Support the marketing lead with ad hoc tasks, coordination, and research as needed.
4. TOOLS AND SYSTEMS YOU WILL USE
- Apollo (outreach campaigns, contact management)
- HubSpot or equivalent CRM (contact and pipeline hygiene)
- Notion (editorial calendar, project tracking, task management)
- Google Sheets (trackers, campaign logs, ambassador dashboards)
- CMS platform (blog publishing, basic content management)
- Slack (team communication)
Hands-on experience with all of these is not required from day one. Comfort with a few and a willingness to learn the rest is what matters.
5. WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR
- One to three years of experience in digital marketing, marketing coordination, or a similar operations role.
- Good written English. You will be communicating with US-based writers, creators, and vendors regularly.
- Some hands-on experience with at least one outreach or CRM tool, even at a basic level.
- Someone who is organised, follows through on tasks, and communicates proactively when something needs attention.
- A genuine interest in AI, education technology, or startups. Curiosity matters here.
This role suits someone who enjoys coordinating across teams, staying on top of moving parts, and seeing their work ship. If that describes you, read on.
6. WHAT MAKES SOMEONE STRONG HERE
- You follow up without being asked. If something is pending, you check on it.
- You communicate clearly and early. If there is a delay or a problem, you raise it before it becomes bigger.
- You keep your trackers and tools updated. People around you can rely on your information being current.
- You can manage multiple threads at once without losing track of any of them.
- You have worked with writers, developers, or external vendors and know how to give them what they need to move.
7. WHAT YOU GET
- A competitive salary for a remote, India-based role at a US-facing AI startup.
- Real ownership of live programs from the start. No shadow work or internal-only projects.
- Direct exposure to how a funded, product-led startup runs its full marketing operation.
- A lean team, clear priorities, and a culture that values getting things done over presenting things well.
- The kind of experience and portfolio that takes years to build elsewhere.
8. HIRING PROCESS
- Apply through the LinkedIn job posting.
- Along with your CV, include a short note of three to five sentences: describe one coordination or execution challenge you managed and how you handled it.
- Shortlisted candidates will be given a short, practical task. Nothing complex or time-consuming.
- One brief conversation. We move quickly and will revert within 48 hours of the final step.
We are a small team building something meaningful. If this sounds like the kind of work you want to do, we would like to hear from you.
