Role Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Retail Marketing Lead to spearhead offline marketing initiatives across our retail network while driving strong financial governance of marketing investments. This role requires a unique blend of retail marketing expertise, local store activation experience, budget ownership, and financial acumen to ensure maximum ROI from all marketing activities.
The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end offline marketing strategy, store launch campaigns, regional promotions, vendor partnerships, and marketing budget management while collaborating closely with Finance, Operations, and Store teams.
Key Responsibilities1. Retail & Offline Marketing Strategy
- Develop and execute the annual retail marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and sales targets.
- Lead all offline marketing initiatives including local store marketing (LSM), outdoor advertising, events, activations, sponsorships, and in-store branding.
- Design customer acquisition and retention programs to increase store footfall and revenue.
- Plan and execute new store launch campaigns and regional marketing initiatives.
- Ensure brand consistency and visibility across all retail touchpoints.
- Identify high-impact marketing opportunities based on market trends and consumer behavior.
2. Marketing Budgeting & Financial Management
- Own and manage the overall offline marketing budget across regions and stores.
- Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing expenditure plans.
- Monitor budget utilization and ensure optimal allocation of marketing investments.
- Establish financial controls and approval mechanisms for marketing spends.
- Track campaign-wise ROI, CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), and revenue contribution.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising campaign effectiveness.
- Partner with Finance for budget forecasting, accruals, reconciliations, and audits.
3. Performance & ROI Analytics
- Build frameworks to measure effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
- Analyze campaign performance against defined KPIs.
- Create dashboards and reports on:
- Marketing ROI
- Store Footfall
- Conversion Rates
- Sales Uplift
- Customer Acquisition Cost
- Budget Utilization
- Present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
4. Vendor & Agency Management
- Lead negotiations with agencies, vendors, printers, media partners, and event agencies.
- Ensure timely execution of marketing campaigns within approved budgets.
- Drive vendor performance management and cost efficiencies.
- Develop long-term strategic partnerships to maximize value and quality.
5. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Operations, Retail, Merchandising, Finance, and HR teams.
- Support regional and store teams with localized marketing plans.
- Lead and mentor the retail marketing team.
- Drive alignment between business goals and marketing execution.

Qualification & Experience
- MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Finance, Business Management, or related field.
- 7–12 years of experience in Retail Marketing, Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, or Marketing Operations.
- Minimum 3–5 years of team management experience.
- Experience in Fashion, Apparel, Lifestyle, Footwear, Consumer Retail, or QSR sectors preferred.
- Strong exposure to marketing budgeting, financial planning, and ROI analytics.
