🚀 We're Hiring: Marketing Lead - Performance & Growth | WhatNext Overseas Consultants | Bangalore | Full-Time | On-Site
About Us WhatNext Overseas Consultants is a Bangalore-based international education consultancy helping students chart their path to study abroad across Europe, Australia, the UK, and beyond. We're an AIRC, NAFSA, and ICEF-accredited firm built on a "Career Architecture" philosophy -- every student gets personalized, one-on-one counselling, not cookie-cutter advice.
We're scaling aggressively in FY 2026-27, and marketing is the engine that will drive that growth.
Why This Role is Exciting: This isn't a "run the existing playbook" kind of role. We're building our in-house marketing function from the ground up. You'll be replacing an external agency and owning the entire marketing engine - strategy, execution, analytics, and outcomes.

What You'll Own
Paid Acquisition & Performance Marketing You'll rebuild our Google Ads infrastructure from scratch and launch Meta Ads (Facebook + Instagram) campaigns. This means full ownership of keyword strategy, ad copy, audience targeting, bid optimization, A/B testing, and budget allocation. The goal is simple: high-quality leads at the lowest possible CPL, with clear attribution from click to enrollment.
Campaign Strategy & Execution Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across paid, organic, and owned channels -- aligned with intake cycles (Fall, Spring, January), country-specific promotions, webinars, and education fairs. You'll build the campaign calendar and make sure every rupee spent has a purpose.
Webinar & Event Promotion Promote our overseas education webinars, online info sessions, and on-ground seminars across platforms -- Meta, Google, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and email. Drive registrations, manage RSVP funnels, and track attendance-to-conversion rates.
SEO & Content-Led Growth Work with content creators (internal or freelance) to build an SEO strategy that drives organic traffic -- blogs, landing pages, destination guides, course comparison pages, and student success stories. You don't need to write everything yourself, but you need to know what to publish, when, and why.
Analytics, Attribution & Reporting Set up and manage dashboards (Google Analytics / GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager) to track campaign performance -- impressions, CTR, CPL, CPC, conversion rates, and ROAS. Weekly and monthly performance reports to leadership with actionable insights, not just data dumps.
Social Media Growth Own the paid social strategy and collaborate on organic content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube. Ensure brand consistency while driving engagement and follower growth.
CRM & Lead Nurturing Work closely with the counselling and sales teams to ensure leads are captured, segmented, and nurtured through the funnel. Set up email drip campaigns, WhatsApp broadcast flows, and retargeting sequences to reduce lead leakage.
Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with any external vendors (design freelancers, video editors, content writers). Own the marketing budget and ensure spend is tracked, justified, and optimized monthly.
What You Bring
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in performance marketing or digital marketing (mandatory)
- Prior experience in overseas education, study abroad, immigration, or EdTech companies is strongly preferred
- Proven track record of managing Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns with real budget ownership (not just "assisted" campaigns)
- Strong understanding of lead generation funnels, landing page optimization, and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Meta Business Suite, and UTM tracking
- Experience in SEO fundamentals -- keyword research, on-page optimization, and content planning
- Comfortable with marketing automation and CRM tools (Zoho, HubSpot, LeadSquared, or similar)
- Ability to create compelling ad copy, creative briefs, and campaign messaging (you don't need to be a designer, but you need to direct one)
- Strong analytical mindset -- you think in CPL, ROAS, and funnel conversion rates, not just likes and impressions
- Self-starter who can operate independently, set priorities, and execute without hand-holding
- Encouraging Nature, Constructive personality, a positive approach, and an optimistic thought process make you a better fit.
Bonus Points For
- Experience running webinar/event promotion campaigns in the education space
- Familiarity with WhatsApp Business API and broadcast marketing
- Knowledge of platforms like ApplyBoard, StudyPortals, or education aggregator portals
- Experience with YouTube Ads or LinkedIn Ads
- Basic video editing or creative design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut)
- Understanding of the student decision journey for study abroad (awareness to enrollment)
