The Problem
Optima is launching India's first AI-native wealth company, serving the top 1%. The growth engine, the brand, and the founder's content handle are all at zero on day one. The category default is sales-led, but we dare to differ. Our motion is content-led attention, paid marketing-led acquisition, and product-led activation. That's the engine this role builds.
Role Description
We are recruiting a Marketing Lead to own distribution end-to-end (craft enough to make taste-driven calls + capital discipline enough to run the budget):
- Own the distribution budget end-to-end - paid, owned, earned, and eventually referral, while experimenting and allocating optimally
- Architect the founder-handle distribution engine: format experimentation, post sequencing, hook iteration, reply strategy, what gets amplified. The founder's voice is the firm's primary content surface and you make it compound
- Run paid amplification against creative that's already proven to travel organically. Build the data and audience layer underneath (MCA filings, property registrations, custom audiences, retargeting infrastructure) and design what gets tested where
- Work alongside the Creative Lead on the cadence of artifacts the distribution engine needs: they make, you place
- Build the cold-start motion specifically: every assumption is unproven on day one, every surface has to be instrumented from scratch, and the work is to find what compounds before scaling it
Who This Is For
- You can explain why HNI wealth CACs are so high and why you can do far better than everyone else
- You have 4+ years building distribution engines at premium consumer, fintech, or content-led companies - or running a founder's / executive's personal handle at scale, in-house or as an outside operator
- You've personally owned paid budget at premium audience CPMs and can walk through specific allocation decisions in detail - what you put behind which artifact, why, what worked
- You write copy yourself, you hold opinions on hooks and sequencing that you can defend, you game social media algorithms and SEO/AEO by reverse engineering them
- You have an instinct for capital efficiency: organic loops before paid, earned before owned, the cheapest qualified surface first
- Or something untraditional that trumps all of the above
What This Isn't
- Not a CMO or VP Marketing: no team to manage on day one; the work is building, not directing
- Not a performance marketer: paid is one channel, not the seat
- Not a brand or content creator: that's the Creative Lead's scope; you place and amplify what they make
- Not a community manager: you architect the founder handle's distribution, not its daily replies
- Not a traditional finance or wealth industry marketer: the conventions you'd bring are the wrong ones
