Dodo Payments is the Monetisation Engine for AI-native products. We're a Merchant of Record + Billing & Monetization platform that helps SaaS, AI, and digital businesses accept payments globally, automate billing, and stay fully compliant with taxes and regulations in 220+ countries.
Our customers are developers. They find us on Reddit, Hacker News, X, Google, YouTube, and developer communities. We need someone to own the full marketing engine — organic and performance — and turn it into a repeatable acquisition machine.
Role Overview
We're hiring a
Marketing Lead to own everything that drives developer awareness, sign-ups, and activation - content, SEO, community, paid ads, influencer partnerships, UGC and much more. You'll build the playbook across organic and performance channels and make Dodo the default choice for developers who need to monetize their products.
This is not a single-channel role. You'll run ads, close influencer deals, write content that ranks, ship campaigns in developer communities, and measure all of it against sign-ups and activation. You'll work directly with founders and the growth team.
This is an on-site role in Bengaluru, reporting to the founders.
What You'll Own
- Inbound sign-ups and developer acquisition across all marketing channels
- Performance marketing - paid ads, influencer campaigns, partnerships, UGC
- Organic growth - SEO, content, social media, developer community
- Marketing spend efficiency - CAC, ROAS, channel-level attribution
- Dodo Payment's brand and narrative in the developer ecosystem
What You'll Do
Content & SEO
- Build a content strategy targeting developers, AI founders, and SaaS operators
- Write and publish blog posts, comparison pages, guides, and technical content that ranks
- Own keyword strategy, on-page SEO, and content-to-signup conversion
- Create content developers actually want to read — not marketing fluff
Performance Acquisition
- Build and run paid campaigns across Google, X/Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, and developer-focused platforms
- Identify, negotiate, and manage influencer and creator partnerships — dev YouTubers, newsletter creators, Twitter/X builders
- Source and scale UGC — get real developers talking about Dodo through reviews, tutorials, build-in-public content, and integration walkthroughs
- Build partnerships with newsletters, communities, dev tool platforms, and accelerators for co-marketing and distribution
- Own ad creative, landing pages, and conversion flows — test relentlessly
- Track CAC, ROAS, and payback period by channel. Kill what doesn't work, scale what does
Developer Community
- Build Dodo's presence on Reddit, Hacker News, Indie Hackers, Discord, and dev forums
- Engage authentically — answer questions, share knowledge, join real conversations
- Build relationships with developers and AI builders who become organic advocates
Social Media & Brand
- Own Dodo's social presence on X/Twitter and LinkedIn
- Help founders build their personal brands in the payments and AI space
- Create formats that drive engagement - threads, carousels, short-form video, memes
- Mix product updates, founder takes, community content, and industry commentary
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of experience across content, performance marketing, and community growth
- Hands-on experience running paid ads — you've managed budgets and optimised campaigns
- Experience working with influencers or creators — you've done deals, not just DMs
- Strong SEO fundamentals — keyword research, on-page, link building
- Comfortable in developer communities — you know how Reddit, HN, and dev Twitter work
- Excellent writing — clear, sharp, converts
- Data-driven — you track everything and double down on what works
- Self-starter who builds the playbook, not waits for one
Nice to Have
- Experience marketing to developers or technical audiences
- Background in SaaS, fintech, or payments
- Track record with UGC campaigns or community-driven growth
- Familiarity with tools like Google Ads, Meta Ads, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Webflow
- Basic understanding of APIs, billing models, or developer workflows
- Existing relationships with dev influencers or newsletter creators

- Not a brand-only role — you're measured on sign-ups, not impressions
