Job SummaryWe are looking for a brand storyteller and communication lead to serve as the voice of Filo in the public education sector. Your mission is to move Filo from being a "service provider" to a "thought leader." You will own every piece of communication that leaves our doors, ensuring our impact is not just felt by students, but recognized by policymakers, media, and the global edtech community. You will lead our PR, research collaborations, and multi-channel visibility to cement Filo as the undisputed market leader in India’s public education space.
Key Responsibilities1. Communication Ownership
- Own Filo’s voice across all government-facing communication, ensuring consistency, clarity, and a strong, credible tone in alignment with the Brand team.
- Develop high-impact messaging that translates Filo’s complex AI-driven matching into compelling stories of student success and educational equity.
2. Impact Amplification & Thought Leadership
- Collaborate with academic institutions, NGOs, Audit leaders, and government bodies to co-author and publish whitepapers and research papers that validate Filo’s pedagogical impact.
- Convert raw data from our thousands of users and sessions into insightful reports that influence public policy and education discourse in India.
3. PR & Media Relations
- Drive a proactive PR strategy to ensure regular coverage in top-tier national, regional, and education/tech/AI specific media.
4. Digital & Offline Visibility
- Digital: Own Filo’s presence in the "policy-tech" digital space, including LinkedIn/twitter/newsletter strategy for leadership and curated content for government stakeholders.
- Offline: Identify and secure speaking slots at premier education summits, government forums, and national-level education/tech/CSR/AI conferences.
- Design and oversee the creation of high-end marketing kits like video stories, impact reports, testimonials for District Magistrates, Education Secretaries, and School Heads.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
- Work alongside the Government Partnerships team to provide the "marketing ammunition" needed to reinforce their pitch
- Build a community of advocates among public sector influencers and educational reformers.
Qualifications for profile:- Experience: 2-3 years in Strategic Communications, PR, or Brand Marketing, preferably with a focus on the public sector or large-scale social impact.
- Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Indian education landscape and the nuances of communicating with government entities.
- Fellowship Pedigree: Candidates from prestigious public policy fellowships (e.g., Gandhi Fellowship, TFI, PPIA, TRI) are highly encouraged to apply.
- Research Prowess: Proven ability to synthesize data into publishable research or high-level policy briefs.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional storytelling, writing, and presentation skills. You should be able to write a research abstract in the morning and a viral LinkedIn post in the afternoon.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple agencies (PR, Design, Video production, Digital) and internal stakeholders to keep the brand engine running
