Next Lap is building the digital home for endurance sports - connecting athletes, events and communities. We’re a fast-moving startup using tech to help recreational athletes track, share and celebrate their journeys.
About the Role
We’re seeking a Market Research Intern to gather and structure data on endurance sports in India. You’ll work primarily with secondary sources to map market size, participant behaviour, spending patterns and emerging trends. Your work will directly support strategy for building a state-of-the-art platform for outdoor sports in India.
Requirements / Skills
- Microsoft Office Skills: Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint abilities for data organization and reporting
- Process-Oriented Research: Ability to follow a clear, repeatable methodology for collecting and verifying data
- Secondary Research: Experience sourcing data from reports, public datasets and industry publications
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy, completeness and consistency of collected data
- Documentation & Presentation: Can clearly document sources, assumptions and present findings effectively
- Analytical Mindset: Can break down complex problems into structured, manageable steps
- Bonus: Exposure to sports/fitness industry, event economics, or previous market research projects
Internship Details
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 30 hours per week (flexible, student-friendly)
- Stipend: ₹2,000/month
- Start Date: Immediate
