The Market Segment Manager will be responsible for driving growth and profitability across designated market segments for our clients Industry India’s product portfolio. This role demands a deep understanding of the targeted customer segments and emphasizes developing segment-specific strategies, enhancing customer penetration, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
Key Responsibilities
• Identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within assigned Indian industrial sectors (Metals, Ship building & Electric Vehicles).
• Identify and pursue new customer accounts in identified high potential market segments (Metals, Ship building & Electric Vehicles).
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and revenue growth in the identified segments
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, procurement heads, and maintenance managers.
• Prepare and present technical-commercial proposals, quotations, and solution based presentations.
• Support tenders, RFQs, and large contract negotiations with existing and potential customers. • Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with product management to ensure the right product mix for Indian market needs.
• Support sales teams with segment insights, tools, and training.
• Collaborate with Key Account Managers to penetrate strategic customers beyond fasteners.
• Participate in product training sessions
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in identified segments ( Metals, Ship building & Electric Vehicles).
• Strong understanding of the segments, users and the procurement cycles.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in CRM and advanced MS Excel / Power BI skills.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and travel to client as required.
