About the role
OVERVIEW: Oversees personnel and daily operations of the dock, including wet slips, dry storage, maintenance and fuel dock.
KEY TASKS:
- Market, promote and lease annual water and dry storage slips.
- Resolve customer issues and build a loyal customer base for the marina.
- Manage and ensure safe and profitable operations of marina.
- Invoice, collect and apply payments.
- Direct and schedule staff to perform maintenance and other building facilities, docks, customer areas and grounds.
- Determine when maintenance issues will require the use of a licensed contractor and is responsible for scheduling and planning work.
- Communicate customer satisfaction standards to all personnel.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience for all visitors to the marina facility.
- Maintain and enforce marina rules to all guests at all times to ensure safety and compliance. Respond to all rule violations.
- Partners with other departments to produce special events and promotions at the marina.
- Oversee and take proactive approach to severe weather to protect docks, vessels, equipment, team members and customers.
- Responsible for reporting boat damage to store and service manager and if applicable contact the customer immediately.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations regarding marina operations.
- Implement safe, effective and efficient work procedures
- Promote and fully participate in the MarineMax Safety Program; ensuring a safe workplace free of hazards for all team members.
