StanCraft Marine Construction is hiring a Carpenter! The Marine Carpenter plays a crucial role in the Marine Construction division, responsible for site preparation, material handling, equipment assistance, and maintaining a focus on safety.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follow supervisor instructions for various tasks.
- Prep construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazards.
- Load, unload, and offload materials.
- Lay out work, stage materials, and assist in installation.
- Organize workspaces and perform site clean-up.
- Assist equipment operators and team members.
- Assemble and disassemble temporary structures.
- Enforce quality control and provide weather protection.
- Learn from on-the-job training and use company time effectively.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment, machines, and tools.
- Perform vehicle clean-up and maintenance of watercraft vessels.
- Manage waste of materials and time.
- Prioritize and uphold a culture of safety in all aspects of daily operations.Maintains strict adherence to company policies and procedures and maintains consistency with company brand.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively.
- Entry level knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Entry level knowledge of dock building systems and marine construction methods
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations/job sites.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, climb, lift and be constantly moving.
