To provide end-to-end leadership and accountability for manufacturing performance, by driving Manufacturing Operations Excellence (MOE), financial efficiency, and process integration across all plants, aligned to business objectives under the COO structure.
Responsibilities
End-to-End Plant Performance
Own delivery of plant-wise and consolidated performance on:
Production vs plan
OEE / productivity
Conversion cost
Rejection / quality
OTIF / service levels
Ensure consistent and predictable output across all units
Manufacturing Operations Excellence (MOE)
Design and implement a MOE framework across all plants
Drive:
SOP standardization
Loss analysis and elimination (downtime, scrap, inefficiencies)
Lean / continuous improvement practices
Institutionalize review rigor, root cause discipline, and corrective action tracking
Ensure sustainability of improvements
Financial Ownership & Cost Governance
Own key manufacturing cost elements, including:
Conversion cost
Budget adherence
Cost reduction initiatives
Track plant-level cost drivers
Identify and eliminate cost leakages
Multi-Plant Governance & Systems
Establish uniform KPI framework and dashboards across plants
Drive structured weekly / monthly performance reviews
Benchmark performance and ensure gap closure
Process Integration (IMD & Extrusion)
Drive integrated manufacturing operations across processes
Standardize critical processes and enable cross-learning
Reduce dependency on individuals through system-led operations
Capex, Automation & Productivity
Prioritize capex based on business need and financial returns
Drive automation and productivity improvement initiatives
Ensure execution discipline (cost, timeline, output realization)
Plant Leadership & Capability Building
Strengthen capability of Plant Heads and second-line leadership
Drive accountability and ownership culture
Build succession pipeline for critical roles
Cross-Functional Alignment
Ensure alignment between plant operations and business priorities
Qualifications
18–25 years of experience in manufacturing operations
Proven experience in multi-plant leadership roles
Strong exposure to process-driven industries (IMD / extrusion preferred)
Demonstrated track record in:
- Driving MOE / operational excellence frameworks
- Delivering cost optimization and productivity improvements
- Managing large teams and complex operations
Required Skills
Strong grounding in Manufacturing Operations Excellence (MOE)
High level of financial acumen (cost structures, ROI, P&L understanding)
Ability to drive performance through systems and governance
Strong execution discipline and review rigor
Capability to manage scale and complexity
