Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Intern – Aerospace Composites (Onsite)

Location: Onsite

Duration: 3–6 Months Internship (extendable based on performance)

Department: Manufacturing / Production Engineering

About the Role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the fabrication of aerospace composite components. This role is ideal for students passionate about advanced materials, aircraft structures, and real-world production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the manufacturing and fabrication of aerospace composite components (carbon fibre, glass fibre, sandwich structures, etc.)
• Support processes such as lay-up, vacuum bagging, curing, trimming, and finishing
• Prepare and maintain tooling, moulds, and fixtures for production
• Assist in quality inspection (dimensional checks, visual inspection, defect identification)
• Participate in root cause analysis and process improvement activities
• Design aerospace parts with special requirements of fast manufacturability.

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing B.Tech / B.E / Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Materials, or related field
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings
• Interest in composite materials and aircraft structures
• Ability to work onsite in a workshop/lab environment
• Willingness to learn hands-on fabrication techniques

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Knowledge of composite manufacturing (hand lay-up, vacuum infusion, prepreg, autoclave/oven curing)
• Familiarity with CAD drawings and measurement tools (vernier calliper, micrometre)
• Experience with lab/shop tools
