JOB DESCRIPTION
Designation: Manufacturing Engineer
Reports To: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process. Reviews, evaluates, and implements engineering changes and specification requirements. Also responsible for timely installation and maintenance of equipment to ensure operational effectiveness. The Manufacturing Engineer should work effectively within a team and have a high level of technical expertise. Also responsible to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency and quality.
- AS9100 & Audit Activities
· Ensure day-to-day activities are done as per manufacturing engineering procedures and documented on time.
· Identify improvements and necessary changes, communicate and initiate change requests.
· Participate and ensure AS9100 audit requirements are met.
· Analyze audit remarks and implement corrective actions.
- Management of Manufacturing Equipment
· Responsible for manufacturing equipment validation and regular production process.
· Manage tools and fixtures in production.
· Ensure availability and quick rectification of breakdowns.
· Support production team to minimize downtime.
· Track spare parts and analyze unusual requirements.
· Perform tool and fixture validation when replaced.
· Maintain documentation and tool list.
· Manage tool room equipment and consumables.
· Ensure calibration of instruments.
· Coordinate maintenance and supplier requirements.
- New Equipment and Line Setup
· Support setup of new equipment or manufacturing lines.
· Assist in assembly and trial runs.
· Support validation and inspection of new components.
Participate in analysis of non-conformance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Support continuous improvement in process, machinery, and tools.
- Technical Support on Purchasing
Support purchasing department with technical clarifications and resolve supplier issues. Follow up on non-conforming parts.
Support team objectives and participate in analysis when objectives are not met.
