Manufacturing and Quality Lead
Reporting To - Global Manufacturing Manager, Toronto, Canada

Role Summary
The Manufacturing and Quality Lead is responsible for transferring, stabilizing, and scaling certified
burner manufacturing operations to India. This role owns process integrity, supplier quality,
assembly standardization, testing protocols, and certification continuity.
This is a hands on leadership role. The individual must be equally comfortable on the shop floor
and in documentation reviews.
The primary objective is simple: replicate and protect the product standard currently achieved in
Toronto, without quality drift.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Transfer and Standardization
• Translate existing Canadian assembly and testing processes into Indian SOPs
• Develop clear work instructions with photos, tolerances, torque values, gas pressure parameters,
and inspection checkpoints
• Design and implement assembly jigs and fixtures to eliminate variability
• Establish controlled testing platforms consistent with certification requirements
• Define storage segregation standards for components and finished goods
2. Supplier Quality Management
• Identify, qualify, and audit component suppliers• Define incoming inspection standards and sampling plans
• Establish dimensional, material, and finish verification protocols
• Implement supplier corrective action procedures
• Drive continuous supplier performance improvement
3. Quality Systems and Certification
• Ensure compliance with applicable gas appliance certifications
• Maintain traceability from raw materials to finished product
• Prepare documentation for audits and regulatory inspections
• Develop and maintain inspection records and quality logs
• Implement internal quality control checkpoints
4. Production Setup and Control
• Hire, train, and supervise initial assembly technicians
• Establish production layout for efficient material flow
• Implement basic production tracking and yield monitoring
• Reduce rework and scrap through structured root cause analysis
• Ensure safe handling and testing of gas components
5. Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising certification
• Improve assembly cycle times
• Standardize repeatable production methods
• Introduce lean practices appropriate for small scale manufacturing
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5 to 10 years experience in manufacturing of certified products
• Experience in gas appliances, metal fabrication, or similar regulated products preferred
• Strong knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001
• Hands on experience with testing rigs and mechanical assembly
• Experience managing suppliers and conducting audits
• Strong documentation discipline

Compensation: Upto INR 2,000,000 per annum (20 Lakhs)
