About the job:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Test Engineer to join our quality assurance
team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining manual
and automated test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications.
The Test Engineer will work closely with developers, and other stakeholders to identify issues
and improve the overall user experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Design:
● Analyse requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to create
comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
● Identify test scenarios and create detailed test cases covering all aspects of the software
application.
Test Execution:
● Execute manual test cases on various software applications to ensure compliance with
specifications.
● Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
● Identify, record, document, and track defects in defect tracking tools.
Collaboration and Communication:
● Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand
features and functionalities.
● Participate in regular meetings and provide feedback on project progress and quality
issues.
● Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:
● Maintain detailed and accurate test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and
defect reports.
● Prepare test summary reports and provide input for release notes.
Continuous Improvement:
● Suggest and implement improvements in test processes and methodologies.
● Stay updated with new testing tools and test strategies.
Technical Skills:
● Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software
testing life cycle (STLC).
● Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test
cases.
● Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting is a plus.
