Manual QA Tester

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA to join our team. As a QA , you will work closely with our quality assurance team to test software applications, identify defects, and ensure the highest quality standards are met before deployment. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or individuals looking to start their career in software testing and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in writing, reviewing, and executing test cases.
- Identify, document, and report software defects and inconsistencies.
- Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and improve testing processes.
- Learn and use testing tools for defect tracking and automation (e.g., JIRA, Selenium).
- Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on application quality.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in software testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
- Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Requirement:
- Understanding of manual testing concepts, types of testing (e.g., functional, regression, smoke), and the testing life cycle.
- Knowledge of basic tools used for bug tracking (e.g., Jira) and testing (e.g., TestRail, Quality Center) can be a plus.
- Ability to identify inconsistencies, defects, and issues in the application.
- While manual testers don’t need to be coders, having a basic understanding of programming languages (like HTML, CSS, or JavaScript) can be helpful.
- Ability to clearly report bugs, issues, and communicate effectively with team members and developers.
- Ability to think critically and identify potential issues or areas where tests might fail.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, including how testing fits into the overall process.
- Ability to adapt and learn from feedback, improving testing techniques and understanding of the product.
- Familiarity with querying databases (e.g., SQL) to verify test results can be helpful.
- Typically pursuing or having completed a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, though this may vary depending on the company.
