Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop first patterns from designer sketches, reference images, and technical specifications.
- Create patterns for bridal gowns, evening gowns, corsets, skirts, sleeves, capes, and other garment components.
- Perform pattern grading and size development as required.
- Work closely with the design, sampling, and production teams to ensure accurate execution of styles.
- Conduct fit sessions and implement pattern corrections based on fittings.
- Ensure consistency in garment fit, construction, and quality standards.
- Support customization requests and made-to-order bridal projects.
- Collaborate with sampling teams to troubleshoot construction and fit issues
REQUIREMEWNTS
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in pattern making for Western bridal wear, evening wear, or high-end fashion garments.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, draping, grading, and fitting techniques.
- Experience working with corsetry, structured bodices, layered skirts, trains, and delicate fabrics.
- Ability to interpret design sketches and convert them into production-ready patterns.
- Proficiency in manual pattern making; CAD pattern-making knowledge is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with luxury bridal or couture garments.
- Knowledge of embroidery placement and pattern adjustments for embellished garments.
- Understanding of fabric behaviour, including satin, tulle, organza, lace, mesh, and crepe.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
