Job Description of Manager Warehouse Operations

· Operations Management: To supervise receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping; manage space, equipment, and daily workflows.

· Inventory Control: To maintain accurate records, conduct cycle counts, manage stock levels, and oversee returns/quality checks.

· Team Leadership: To train, schedule, and motivate warehouse staff (pickers, packers, etc.) to meet targets.

· Technology & Systems: To utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for tracking, reporting, and data analysis.

· Work Control Mechanism: To ensure accurate, timely order delivery, resolve discrepancies, and manage logistics partner performance.

· Process Improvement: To analyze data, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies for cost reduction and efficiency gains.

· Reporting: To monitor metrics like order accuracy and delivery speed and report to G.M. Operations. 

Core Skills Needed

· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

· Analytical skills to interpret data and metrics.

· Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment, WMS, and logistics.

· Ability to manage large teams and meet tight deadlines. 

· Proficiency in handling ERP-level software.

Key Focus Areas for E-commerce

· Speed & Accuracy: Critical for customer satisfaction in online retail.

· Multi-Channel Complexity: Managing inventory across various platforms.

· Returns Management: Efficient handling of reverse logistics. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – A GRADUATE WITH 2-5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WILL BE PREFERRED.
