Position Overview:
We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manager in Accounting with more than 7 years of experience, preferably in a KPO environment, to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, excellent client communication skills and proven leadership capabilities in managing teams, driving operational excellence and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality accounting services.
Responsibilities:
● Independently and with the support of our team, maintain comprehensive and precise accounting records for assigned client portfolios, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures, including customer invoicing, general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and maintenance of accurate financial records with meticulous attention to detail.
● Prepare balance sheets, financial statements, cash flow statements, and related reports while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and accounting best practices.
● Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accurate allocation of receipts, timely invoicing, and reconciliations of receivables, payables, and bank accounts.
● Lead balance sheet reconciliations before month-end close, oversee journal entries, and implement process enhancements to optimize efficiency and service quality.
● Effectively address day-to-day client queries, emails, and communications while spearheading the onboarding process for new clients and overseeing all setup activities.
● Conduct financial statement analysis and identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and client service delivery.
● Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and accounting standards, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements and industry best practices.
● Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting team, ensuring proper delegation, productivity, quality control, and timely delivery of work across multiple client engagements.
● Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training and technical guidance, address team issues proactively, and foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
● Coordinate with leadership on client deliverables, escalations, resource planning, and operational updates to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Excellent Interpersonal ability and collaborative attitude.
● Strong knowledge of fundamentals of US accounting.
● CPAs/CAs/EAs are desirable, or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
● 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a KPO environment, including experience leading and managing teams.
● Strong proficiency in accounting software (QBO, QBD, Xero etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
● Ability to identify automation opportunities and drive process efficiencies through technology and standardized workflows.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience of communication (verbal and written English) with US/UK/ Australian clients is an imperative.
● Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
● Proven leadership abilities with experience in team management.
