The Total Rewards Lead will be responsible for driving, implementing and governing comprehensive Total Rewards programs across Welspun Living. This is a high-impact individual contributor role that drives strategic and operational excellence across compensation, rewards, performance management, HR planning, and policy governance.
The role requires strong analytical capability, business acumen, and stakeholder management skills to ensure reward strategies remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Budgeting
- Design and optimize organizational structures in line with evolving business requirements.
- Partner with business and functional leaders to develop strategic workforce plans.
- Lead HR budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with business priorities and financial goals.
- Monitor manpower costs and workforce productivity metrics to support effective decision-making.
Performance Management
- Drive the end-to-end performance management cycle across the organization.
- Build awareness and enhance manager capability to improve process effectiveness and quality of reviews.
- Facilitate goal-setting, mid-year reviews, annual evaluations, and performance calibration discussions.
- Support the design and implementation of performance-linked compensation and incentive frameworks.
- Drive performance differentiation and ensure fair, consistent talent evaluations.
Total Rewards
- Develop and execute Total Rewards strategies aligned with business needs and talent priorities.
- Conduct market benchmarking, compensation analysis, and internal equity reviews to ensure competitiveness.
- Recommend innovative reward solutions based on industry trends, business requirements, and data insights.
- Manage annual compensation review cycles, including merit increases, promotions, bonuses, and incentive payouts.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for compensation, benefits, and rewards-related policies and practices.
- Partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure effective rewards planning and governance.
HR Operations & Analytics
- Design, review, and administer HR policies, processes, and governance frameworks across business units.
- Ensure accurate employee data management, HR records maintenance, and statutory compliance.
- Lead compensation analytics projects to support salary benchmarking, job architecture, and program design.
- Develop dashboards, MIS reports, and presentations for senior leadership, converting complex data into actionable insights.
- Drive process efficiency, operational excellence, and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Execute end-to-end compensation processes including merit cycles, bonus payouts, and promotion reviews.
- Maintain compensation structures, grading frameworks, and job architecture within HRIS systems.
- Ensure seamless administration of performance management processes, including communication, capability building, and issue resolution.
- Drive adherence to performance distribution guidelines and process governance.
- Operationalize HR policies consistently across business units.
- Support internal and external audits through timely documentation and data validation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all rewards and performance-related queries.
Key Stakeholder Interactions
Internal: HR Business Partners, Group COEs, Shared Services, Functional Heads, Business Leaders, Finance Teams
External: Compensation Consultants, Benchmarking Partners, Auditors
Candidate Profile
- 8–10 years of overall HR experience, with 6–8 years of specialized experience in Compensation, Benefits, and Performance Management within dynamic, fast-paced organizations.
- Strong understanding of compensation structures, salary benchmarking, rewards philosophy, and job evaluation frameworks.
- Advanced analytical skills with strong command over HR metrics, compensation modeling, and reporting tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage complex rewards processes while balancing strategic thinking and operational execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in HR, Finance, or related discipline from a reputed institution.
- Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or large matrix organizations will be preferred.
