Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Management for annual and ad-hoc resource planning and prioritization of technical documentation, to support new product launches and on-market product updates/upgrades at global level.
- Plan, schedule, assign documentation requests to the technical publication team; oversee completion timeliness and compliance to regulatory requirements.
- Manage the technical publications budget for document translations.
- Manage vendors relationship to guarantee quality and cost effectiveness of translations.
- Directly prepare and complete technical documentation as needed.
- Drive improvements and innovation within the department and between departments with regards to processes, tools, quality, productivity, turnaround time, cost of technical documentation, leveraging Danaher Business System.
- Oversee talent development of the technical writing team.
Skills Required:
- 5+ years of experience managing technical writing teams in a regulated documentation environment
- 3+ years of experience using a component content management system (CCMS) for structured authoring
- Proficiency in DITA XML standards, shared content architecture, and authoring optimized for translation workflows
- 3+ years of experience creating, editing, and organizing technical images for publication
- Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator for technical documentation production
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, formatting, and content integration
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Adobe WorkFront.
- Vasont's Inspire Component Content Management System.
- Working in the Medical Diagnostics field or other highly regulated environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of experience in Technical Publications OR Master's degree with 7+ years in Technical Publications
