The Procurement AI Lead will play a pivotal role within the Digital Innovation and Operational Excellence team in the Procurement organization. This position focuses on driving digital transformation initiatives that leverage AI capabilities to streamline procurement processes, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver data-driven insights. Acting as a connector between procurement operations, technology, and business stakeholders, the successful candidate will combine process management expertise with innovative digital solutions to enable a future-ready procurement function and will engage a team of specialists to build integrated automation solutions, ensuring all innovations are scalable, compliant, and deliver measurable ROI.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Pipeline Management
- Own the translation of procurement transformation objectives into executable solution roadmaps, sequencing work based on data readiness, technical constraints, and delivery risk.
- Architect end‑to‑end solutions that progress from concept to production, making deliberate trade‑offs between speed, scalability, and governance requirements.
- Personally engage in design reviews and critical technical decisions where solution feasibility, security posture, or long‑term maintainability is at risk.
- Guide initiatives through enterprise review cycles, adapting solution designs to address feedback from Architecture, Security, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders.
Governance, Security & Ethics
- Ensure all team-developed solutions (including Copilot Studio agents and GenAI workflows) adhere to strict Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance frameworks.
- Develop executive-level business cases and performance narratives, translating technical milestones into "Board-ready" KPIs and efficiency metrics.
Team Leadership & Delivery
- Lead a multidisciplinary team through ambiguous problem spaces, setting clear delivery expectations and intervening directly when progress stalls.
- Review and challenge solution designs, data models, and automation logic produced by the team to ensure they meet enterprise quality and resilience standards.
- Balance experimentation with delivery discipline, ensuring pilots mature into supported, production‑ready solutions rather than remaining perpetual proofs of concept.
- Maintain ownership of outcomes, including adoption, stability, and realized business value—not just milestone completion.
Stakeholder Influence & Strategic Change
- Partner with global Procurement leaders to identify "digital-first" opportunities in the procurement lifecycle.
- Drive a culture of "Digital Literacy" across the function, educating senior stakeholders on the capabilities and limitations of the current enterprise AI stack.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience: 5–8 years of experience in Digital Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, or Procurement Operations.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading technical teams or complex projects within a Global Capability Center (GCC) or a Fortune 500 environment.
- The "Integration" Expertise: Demonstrated ability to architect solutions using Microsoft Dataverse, Snowflake, and API Management protocols (REST/SOAP).
- Automation Mastery: Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem and its integration with Generative AI / LLM frameworks.
- Governance Savvy: Deep understanding of navigating IT security reviews, data residency requirements, and enterprise software lifecycles.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic Architecture: The ability to look at a mess of legacy systems and design a clean, API-led path to automation.
- Technical Mentorship: A "Leader-As-Coach" mindset—capable of performing code/logic reviews for specialists using Power Apps or SQL.
- Executive Presence: Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical hurdles for non-technical senior executives.
- Resilience in Governance: A proven track record of delivering innovation within highly regulated environments (e.g., Financial Services).
- Analytical Problem Solving: Using data-driven insights to pivot strategies when technical or regulatory "roadblocks" occur.
- Procurement Domain Knowledge: Understanding of procurement principles, processes, and systems to connect improvements to business outcomes
