Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented professional to lead and manage Third Party Manufacturing (TPM) operations across multiple external manufacturing partners. The role involves end-to-end ownership of vendor management, production planning, quality compliance, and supply assurance while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Third Party Manufacturing Operations
Manage end-to-end operations of third-party / loan license manufacturing partners.
Ensure timely production and dispatch of products as per business requirements.
Coordinate closely with TPM partners for capacity planning and execution of manufacturing schedules.
Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive timely resolution.
2. Vendor Management & Development
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new third-party manufacturers aligned with company strategy.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing TPM partners.
Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews (Quality, Delivery, Cost).
Negotiate commercial terms, capacity commitments, and service levels with partners.
3. Production Planning & Supply Assurance
Collaborate with supply chain, purchase, and sales teams to align production plans with demand forecasts.
Ensure optimum inventory levels and prevent stock-outs or overproduction.
Track order execution from PO release to final delivery.
4. Quality & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure all TPM partners comply with cGMP, WHO-GMP, and applicable regulatory requirements (USFDA, EU, MHRA, etc.).
Review Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Batch Packing Records (BPR), and Certificates of Analysis (CoA).
Monitor deviations, change controls, OOS, and CAPA implementation at TPM sites.
Support and ensure audit readiness for regulatory and customer audits.
Drive closure of audit observations and quality issues.
5. Technology Transfer & Product Launch
Coordinate with R&D and technical teams for smooth technology transfer to third-party sites.
Ensure successful scale-up, validation, and commercialization of new products.
Monitor trial batches, exhibit batches, and validation batches.
6. Cost Optimization & Efficiency
Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternate vendors, process improvements, and better negotiations.
Optimize manufacturing costs while maintaining quality and compliance.
Improve operational efficiency across TPM network.
7. Documentation & Compliance
Ensure all technical agreements, quality agreements, and supply agreements are in place and updated.
Maintain proper documentation related to vendors, products, and regulatory requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc. (Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field)
Experience: 8–12 years in Third Party Manufacturing / Contract Manufacturing / Vendor Management in pharmaceuticals
Strong understanding of TPM business model and regulatory landscape
Experience in handling multiple vendors and product portfolios
Exposure to domestic and export market requirements
