We are looking for a strategic and hands-on HR Business Partner to work closely with the founder and leadership team in a fast-growing startup environment. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys building people practices from scratch, driving organizational growth, and partnering deeply with business leaders.
About the Organization
A fast-growing insurtech startup operating pan-India with teams across Bangalore, Indore, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. The organization is currently in a high-growth phase with strong focus on scaling teams, strengthening culture, and building robust HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end HR policies, processes, and people practices across the organization
- Partner closely with founder and senior leadership on organizational planning and people strategy
- Drive performance management, employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives
- Manage HR operations across multiple locations and ensure smooth team collaboration
- Oversee talent acquisition strategy and future workforce planning
- Build scalable HR frameworks, processes, and governance structures
- Support managers on team building, leadership development, and employee relations
- Handle policy implementation, compliance, and operational effectiveness
- Create a strong ownership-driven and high-performance culture
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of proven HR experience, including 4+ years in a senior leadership role in fast growth or startup environments.
- Prior experience in Insurance is preferred.
- Experience scaling talent acquisition for high-growth teams and implementing HR frameworks.
- Proficiency with ATS platforms (e.g., Keka) and managing HR databases.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to partner across all levels.
- Data-driven decision-making with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Skilled in negotiation, consensus building, and handling multiple priorities under tight timelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with responsiveness and quick problem-solving ability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
