Job Description – Manager / Sr. Manager – Domestic Sales (FMCG)
Position: Manager / Sr. Manager – Domestic Sales
Location: Hyderabad
Industry: FMCG – Namkeen & Essential Food Products
Reporting To: Management / Director
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Domestic Sales Manager who can independently establish and expand the market for our Namkeen and essential product range. The candidate should have strong experience in institutional sales and modern trade, particularly in handling malls, supermarkets, retail chains, and bulk buyers.
The selected candidate will initially drive sales operations independently in the Hyderabad market, build customer relationships, secure orders, and establish distribution channels. Based on sales growth, the candidate will later build and manage a domestic sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement domestic sales strategies for Namkeen and essential products.
- Establish strong institutional sales channels with malls, supermarkets, retail chains, and distributors.
- Identify potential modern trade and institutional clients and convert them into long-term customers.
- Manage the complete sales cycle including lead generation, negotiation, order collection, and closing.
- Ensure product placement, listing, and visibility in supermarkets and retail outlets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with purchase managers, retail partners, and distributors.
- Monitor market demand, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate internally for order fulfilment, supply planning, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare sales plans, targets, and performance reports for management.
- Drive market expansion initially in Hyderabad, followed by expansion into other regions.
- Recruit, train, and lead a domestic sales team as business volume increases.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in FMCG institutional sales and modern trade.
- Proven ability to generate business and close high-value sales orders.
- Good network with supermarkets, retail chains, and institutional buyers.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and build new markets from scratch.
- Strategic thinking with strong business development capabilities.
Experience & Qualification
- 5 – 10 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in snacks, food products, or consumer goods.
- Experience handling modern trade, supermarkets, and institutional clients.
- Graduation in Business Administration / Marketing / Commerce (MBA preferred).
