As part of our continued focus on strengthening audit quality and compliance, we are looking to hire an experienced professional in the Quality Control function.
Role Overview
The Manager/Senior Manager – Quality Control will be responsible for ensuring adherence to auditing standards, QC standards, Regulatory requirements of ICAI and Professional bodies such as NFRA, and internal quality benchmarks across engagements. The role involves guiding team members on Quality matters, reviewing audit files and work papers to ensure compliances with QC standards, and maintaining the firm’s quality framework, especially for assignments involving listed entities and important audit engagements of the Firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality reviews of audit engagements to ensure compliance with applicable auditing standards (SA/Ind AS/Companies Act requirements).
- Review audit documentation, working papers, and financial statements for completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to internal quality control policies and procedures.
- Handle quality reviews of listed company audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Identify gaps, risks, and areas of improvement in audit processes and suggest corrective actions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to audit teams on complex accounting and auditing matters.
- Liaise with engagement teams and partners to ensure timely closure of review points.
- Assist in implementation and strengthening of firm-wide quality control frameworks.
- Conduct internal trainings and knowledge-sharing sessions for teams.
- Support during peer reviews, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements (ICAI, NFRA, SEBI)
- At least 7 years of Experience in handling audits of listed companies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong client handling and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven experience in team handling and mentoring.
- High attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple assignments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 10 years of post-qualification experience in audit and assurance.
- Prior experience in Quality Control / Review function is mandatory.
