Job Purpose
To ensure the safety, security, and smooth administrative functioning of the manufacturing facility by managing physical security, access control, contract security manpower, emergency preparedness, transportation, housekeeping, facility management, statutory compliance, and administrative services while supporting business continuity and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Security Management
- Develop and implement plant security policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Ensure protection of employees, visitors, assets, materials, products, and infrastructure.
- Manage perimeter security and maintain effective access control systems.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability studies.
- Supervise contract security personnel.
- Investigate security incidents, thefts, pilferage, vandalism, trespassing, and policy violations. Prepare incident reports and implement corrective actions.
- Prevent unauthorized movement of materials and assets.
- Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plans. Act as Incident Controller during emergencies. Coordinate evacuation drills, fire drills, and mock exercises.
- Support business continuity and crisis management programs.
- Conduct security audits and compliance inspections. Implement loss prevention measures.
Administration & Facility Management
- Manage plant administration services and support functions. Maintain site facilities and infrastructure.
- Ensure smooth functioning of utilities and common facilities.
- Manage housekeeping contracts and service quality. Monitor cafeteria/canteen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the plant. Ensure proper waste disposal and sanitation practices.
- Manage employee transportation and logistics contracts.
- Oversee company guest house and accommodation facilities.
- Manage bookings, upkeep, and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with Factories Act and local regulations.
- Support EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) compliance initiatives. Coordinate statutory inspections by government authorities.
- Maintain records related to security, administration, and contractor compliance. Ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Manage security, housekeeping, transportation, canteen, and facility management contracts. Evaluate vendor performance through KPIs and SLAs.
- Prepare annual budgets for security and administration functions. Monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
People Management
- Lead and develop security and administration teams.
- Identify training needs and build competencies within the team.
- Conduct performance reviews and skill development programs.
- Promote a culture of discipline, integrity, and safety consciousness across the site.
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Preferred: MBA / PG Diploma in Security Management, Administration, or Facility Management.
- Ex-Defence / Paramilitary officer is preferred.
Experience
- 13-15 years of experience in Security & Administration.
- Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, engineering, FMCG, or industrial environment.
