Job Description
We are looking for an experienced
Regional Manager to oversee the overall performance and smooth functioning of multiple restaurant outlets within the assigned region. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, maintaining brand standards, driving sales growth, supporting franchise partners, ensuring customer satisfaction, and handling financial and people management activities.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Monitor and ensure smooth operational functioning of all restaurant branches in the region
- Supervise service, kitchen, housekeeping, and maintenance functions
- Ensure all teams follow daily checklists, reports, attendance, wastage control, petty cash, breakage, and ordering procedures
- Review outlet reports regularly and share summaries with senior management
- Support monthly performance review and identify improvement areas
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and industrial relations practices
- Work closely with corporate marketing for implementation of brand standards and promotional activities
- Coordinate with government authorities and local officials when required
- Stay updated with industry trends and recommend improvements
- Maintain strong coordination with internal teams for smooth opening of new outlets and contracts
Business Development
- Manage relationships with franchise owners and address their concerns proactively
- Identify opportunities for expansion and new franchise development in the region
- Support new franchise outlet openings and track progress of setup requirements
- Conduct market research to understand local demographics, competition, and customer preferences
- Develop and implement local market strategies in coordination with the marketing team
- Explore additional sales channels such as catering, banquets, home delivery, takeaways, and corporate tie-ups
- Support restaurant managers in executing promotional and communication strategies
- Monitor outlet sales performance and suggest upselling and promotional ideas
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and share market insights
Financials & Audit
- Allocate and monitor operational budgets for outlets
- Implement cost control and cost minimization measures
- Maximize outlet profitability while maintaining service quality
- Support budget planning through market understanding and business analysis
- Follow up on pending dues from franchise owners and coordinate with finance teams
- Conduct regular financial audits and brand standard audits
- Ensure compliance with quality policies and operational controls
Customer Service
- Monitor customer feedback systems across outlets
- Analyze customer satisfaction levels and initiate corrective actions for complaints
- Handle service recovery for negative feedback in coordination with restaurant managers
- Drive guest engagement and improve customer feedback collection
- Interact with customers during visits and audits to understand service gaps
Human Resource Management
- Guide restaurant managers in staff orientation, scheduling, training, and deployment
- Review team performance and support development plans
- Appraise restaurant managers and assistant restaurant managers as per KPIs and job expectations
- Coordinate with HR on compensation actions, staffing, leave management, and replacements
- Resolve employee issues and support staff retention initiatives
- Promote staff welfare activities and maintain employee well-being standards
- Identify long-term recruitment channels and support hiring partnerships in the region
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Graduate in Hotel Management / Hospitality with F&B background
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in restaurant or food business operations
- Prior experience in handling area or regional operations
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team management skills
- Good understanding of restaurant operations, franchise management, finance, and customer service
