Role Description The Manager of Artificial Intelligence is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of AI and agentic automation solutions across client engagements. This role oversees AI strategy, model selection, experimentation, and implementation, ensuring that systems support autonomous reasoning, decision-making, and workflow optimization. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a cross-functional team of data scientists, ML engineers, and automation specialists; reviewing architectures and code; guiding experimentation; and translating business requirements into robust AI solutions. The manager will partner closely with product, engineering, and client stakeholders to scope use cases, define success metrics, and drive continuous improvement of deployed AI agents. This role also includes establishing best practices, monitoring AI system performance, ensuring responsible AI usage, and contributing to the overall AI roadmap for the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Data Science and Analytics, with the ability to translate complex business problems into data-driven AI solutions.
- Proficiency in Machine Learning and Data Mining techniques, including model development, evaluation, and optimization for production environments.
- Excellent Analytical Skills, including problem framing, hypothesis testing, and interpretation of quantitative results to drive decision-making.
- Proven experience leading AI/ML or data teams, including mentoring, project planning, and delivery of end-to-end AI initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and data tooling (e.g., SQL, Python, cloud data platforms).
- Background in designing or implementing autonomous or agent-based systems, workflow automation, or AI-driven decision-support tools is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, versioning, and lifecycle management in cloud environments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering
