Job Description – MM Manager, KMH

• Lead end‑to‑end Materials Management activities for U171 project execution and V3 extended volume ramp‑up, ensuring uninterrupted material availability across all phases of the program.
• Plan, coordinate, and control material requirements in line with project timelines, production ramp‑up plans, and customer milestones for U171 and V3 volumes.
• Manage procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics operations, ensuring cost‑effective and timely supply of direct and indirect materials.
• Ensure material readiness for new assembly line commissioning at Pune, including coordination for machine movement, tooling, and production consumables.
• Oversee overseas and domestic shipments, including import–export documentation, customs clearance, and inbound logistics to support project timelines.
• Drive demand–supply alignment in coordination with Production, Program Management, and SCM teams to support ramp‑up and series production.
• Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring FIFO adherence, optimum stock levels, and prevention of shortages or excess inventory during volume expansion.
• Utilize SAP and SCM systems for material planning, tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to delivery, supplier capacity, logistics, and inventory during critical project phases.
• Lead and develop the MM team, ensuring clear role ownership, effective execution,
• Support ongoing KGJ operations by ensuring that U171 and V3 project requirements are met without impacting existing production commitments.
  
  

Qualification & Experience – MM Manager

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable discipline, with 12–15 years of relevant experience.
• Professional training in Logistics and Production Scheduling is mandatory.
• Proven working experience in Integrated Supply Chain Management and Scheduling.
• Demonstrated experience in people management, including team leadership and performance management.
• Very good knowledge of SAP, along with strong exposure to warehousing and logistics operations.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) are required.
• Export–Import knowledge is preferable.
